- 3 X-large eggs lightly beaten
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- ¼ cup Jack Daniel’s Bourbon
- 1 cup whole pecans
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 10” unbaked pie shell
In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, sugar, butter, corn syrup, vanilla and bourbon. Mix well and then strain. Sprinkle chocolate chips over pie shell, cover with pecans and then pour filling over all.
Place in pre-heated 375 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes. To test doneness, an inserted knife blade should extract clean. Let stand at least 30 minutes before serving.
